The reincarnation of a high school jam band, The Jacobs unites three friends now scattered across the country. Having not played together in over a decade, The Jacobs recorded Close Harmonies for the Melodic Couple over 9 days at Redball Recording in Missoula, MT relying on hundreds of hours of accumulated garage and bandroom jamming from their high school days refracted through the 10+ years of intervening adulthood to create a sound both raw and sophisticated. Drawing from classic 60s pop, Close Harmonies offers chimey guitars, sparkling keyboards, and rich vocal harmonies over deep rhythm section grooves.
